As with any new release, there are some issues, so wait for the next patch before updating Desktop to 2025.3. Our Trusted Viz Extensions work exactly the same on the previous Tableau version, and you can publish to Tableau Public as well!

When extensions were first released, enabling them on Tableau Public simply wasn’t possible because of two main blockers: - Security: Tableau couldn’t allow unverified partner code to run on Public. - Licensing: there was no way to distinguish Public vs Cloud/Server usage.
