🎉 Huge congrats to @RodriguesSav for securing a prestigious @FWOVlaanderen postdoctoral fellowship in collaboration with @lab_php and @LaurensPauwels . 🌱 Excited to see him dive further into the fascinating interaction between rhizogenic agrobacteria and Arabidopsis 🔬🧪

With cutting-edge omics technologies the @GoossensLabVIB uncovered an exciting novel function of the RolB protein. A very nice and rewarding collaboration which started six years ago when some labs joint forces to study the interaction between tomato and rhizogenic agrobacteria.

Honored to be part of a new KU Leuven Institute: the Leuven Plant Institute. We combine the power of fundamental and applied plant, ecological and agricultural research to combat the challenges of the future using plant-based solutions.

Together with my first PhD student @RodriguesSav and his co-supervisor @LaurensPauwels we aimed at optimizing the generation of #Agrobacterium mutants in order to study their interaction with plants. So happy to see our work being published.

Being a PI can be sometimes stressful, especially when projects are not immediately granted. However, having a very nice group with amazing people makes up for a lot. I do think that they want me to relax a little bit more 😊
