Bought @kvdborgh's book #AndHeShallAppear after seeing this recommendation and Kate G was spot on. Secret History + Satan Wants Me + Carter Beats The Devil. Creepy and funny. Loving it. Has to be adapted for the screen. Even been inspired to check out the music of Peter Warlock.
