Today, May 6, is the birthday of Jack Pinto. He would be 17 but died at Sandy Hook in 2012. Jack ❤️ 🏊♂️, singing in the bathtub, rock collecting, listening to 🎶 , playing w/friends, & attending 🏫. He was an energetic, loving, generous & determined boy who woke up every day w/😀.

Please consider buying popcorn from our fundraiser to help get our Raymond Temple 6th grade students get to science camp. As a former camp counselor this is near and dear to my heart. Double Good

Judging by the first two emails I had this morning, the people who kept on catching bugs before Christmas, have been catching bugs again ever since. SARS-CoV-2 weakens your ability to fight off other bugs.

Another teacher lost to Covid. Betsy Peterson, MA teacher, thankfully didn't die, but she can no longer teach due to #LongCovid- debilitating brain fog. Taught IT to low-income district at-risk kids. Contracted in March & forced to retire. @thewordsmithm

Overwhelming evidence of outdoor transmission of Omicron. At least 32 unmasked people were infected by a man jogging through a park without a mask. Nothing beats a surveillance state for contact tracing. Details in the thread. https://t.co/x194Dwj6iU

Trying to keep this as simple as possible. 1) SARS-CoV-2 savages kids' immunity. 2) Strep A exploits that vulnerability. 3) then this:

If SARS-CoV-2 attacks every part of the body, you would expect people to have more problems and more serious problems with every part of their body.

💡Fact—COVID BRAIN IS REAL. You’re not imagining it. Avoid #COVID19 infection, please, for the love of your own brain 🧠. Stop saying “it’s mild”—#LongCovid is not!
Nature: Enhanced replication of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2 in human forebrain and midbrain organoids: BA.2 replicated more efficiently & triggered substantially higher levels of apoptosis (cell death) in the infected human forebrain and midbrain organoids. https://t.co/mM42akQyve

You’ve got to be willing to be bad at something if you want to be… slightly less bad at it? Here’s Will and I proving that point! We’re so humbled by all the love for #Spirited on @appletvplus.

Clinical pearls for #LongCovid 1. Find the clots. They are there. If not PE or DVT there are Microclots. 100% of all long Covid patients tested so far have them.
