The children in Y5 had a great morning at our infants. They watched the Y2 children rehearse their Leavers’ Assembly; enjoyed organising games to play with the children in Y1 and Y2 at playtime; and supporting the Y2 children with their writing. We were made to feel very welcome.

Our Y3/4 classes took part in the Cultural Champions Create Day, which was run by the Royal Ballet and Opera House. They started the day with dance and then sang ‘The Hope’, a song linked to a puppet called Amal who has become a global symbol of courage, hope and human rights.

We were so proud of Y5/6 in their production of Kivo's Got Talent. Three magnificent performances with laughter, tears and an immense amount of talent!.A big THANK YOU to all the staff who made it possible and to all the audience members for coming along to support.

Bird Class have had a brilliant time creating their book blankets this morning. They sorted their books by genre, author or colour as well as selecting items from around the classroom to make their displays even more inviting. The level of discussion and teamwork was outstanding!

The whole school have taken part in a first aid session today. Y3, 4 & 5 focused on choking and anaphylaxis and Y6 also learnt how to perform CPR and how to administer a defibrillator. We’ve definitely got some future emergency service workers amongst us! 🚑 @jmatschools

On Monday, Magellan had a great visit to the local library, in Kiveton, where they were able to choose books from a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction, as well as designing a cover for their own book.
