Thank you @kpmjschool for inviting me to be a judge at your Poetry Slam this morning. All the children worked so hard and I was blown away by the quality of the performances. Well done to the winning classes; it was a very tough decision to make!

Children in Y6 had the amazing opportunity to control a telescope in Australia through the Schools Observatory project. They saw some amazing celestial bodies from a spiral galaxy to a globular cluster of galaxies.

All reading is reading! Comics & picture books teach visual as well as verbal literacy. We should celebrate them for the joy they bring readers & validate children's love for them – and NEVER, EVER dismiss them, or say anyone is too old for them! #literacy (Art: Bill Watterson)
