On Friday, I interviewed @MichelleObama in front of 8,000 incredible humans. This was a career high, and the ultimate validation that interviewing, hosting, and holding space for powerful conversations is what I’m meant to do with my life. Thank you to everyone for the support!

Focus on intentional network expansion, building meaningful relationships, and not counting yourself out of the game. You can be the exponential growth curve in your lineage, double down on yourself, and let yourself be seen.

Hard fact: a large proportion of people’s success comes from who they know. Generational wealth & influential networks can be inherited, but they can also be built and shared.

If the answer is yes, then it's time to take your dreams and goals even more seriously. Try. Do the thing. Let yourself be seen. It's your time, and you deserve to live a life without regret.

Giving ourselves permission to accept what is can create space for gratitude and eventually, possibility. Acceptance doesn't mean you can't dream, but it can show you that you have more going for you than you realize which is a great starting point for creating new goals.

I recently realized some of my biggest dreams were actually a tool for younger me to survive in an abusive household. I needed them to help push me to leave the situation I was in. Once I realized that as an adult, it gave me permission to shift my expectations of myself.

1. Are the expectations you have of yourself based in what you *actually* dream for your life now, or are they rooted in a survival mechanism from your past?

"Happiness is when you're expectations of how your life is supposed to be going are met." - @steven Unhappiness then, he continues, is the opposite. What can we do if that gap between expectation and reality feels too stark to bridge? Here are three things to consider:

Rest in power, Jamal Khashoggi. In his memory, please take the time to read his work, which he was proud of. You can find a selection of his @washingtonpost columns here: https://t.co/XgsFCDusU1

Five years ago today, my friend & @PostOpinions writer Jamal Khashoggi was murdered by agents of Saudi Arabia. For today's paper, I wrote about a disturbing @TIME party held in the aftermath of his murder--which taught me how cruel U.S. media can be. https://t.co/4GND0DDe42

@ElevateTechCA is leading the way when it comes to making participation in the tech industry more accessible to women-led and minority-led startups. I sat down with @KomalMinhas to talk about the benefits of opening the doors to participation for our economy and our workers 🇨🇦
