It’s been a convenient and persistent myth that we can’t apply European lessons to the US, but I suspect more analysis will reveal that more generous job retention and family leave policies there, have made a huge difference in avoiding the big resignation.
A consistent theme in my graduate education was the European labor mkts, w/ all those pro-worker policies, were too rigid and hopelessly inefficient. And yet...
