Glad to see this story. So many of the leaders I've admired most in this crisis are calm and courageous women.

Individual graduation ceremonies for our @STEMPREP seniors. They deserve cap, gown, and the walk across the stage. So proud!

We need a national “stay at home” order. I understand states rights, but these are unprecedented times. This is not politics. This is humanity.

Take a look! These are the #COVID19 projections that @GovBillLee and team are watching. We will be short nearly 8,000 hospital beds, ASSUMING there is no stay-at-home order and no order severely implementing travel.

After @JohnCooper4Nash issued a #StayHome order, he was followed by Memphis, Knoxville, Franklin & Tullahoma. No time to wait on our Governor. These were the only cities in the US to act w/out a full-state wide order. Today, all major cities in Texas are following suit.

Important: New guidance issued from ED: "Some educators have been reluctant to provide any distance instruction because they believe that federal disability law presents insurmountable barriers to remote education. This is simply not true."

@GovBillLee, This is my wife Shana. Each hour that you hold off on bold action will increase the risk to her and her colleagues. She is a Vanderbilt physician. She has (well-controlled) leukemia and a heart arrhythmia. She has three boys in MNPS schools. 1/3.

ONE STATE, ONE RESPONSE: Today, like many of the past few weeks, I have been in contact with mayors and local leaders across the state of Tennessee. Some small city mayors, some large city mayors... 1/

We need @GovBillLee to use the powers of his office to keep people safe. Enough with the urging, encouraging, and hoping people will adopt safe practices on their own without clearer guidance. This is a time when 24-hour and 48-hour delays can have life & death consequences.

There are approximately 480,000 school buses in the United States. With newly installed Wi-Fi hotspots, these buses could be parked in local communities to help students stay connected to their schoolwork and teachers.

Due to coronavirus precaution, Bob Shellard isn't allowed to visit his wife in her Connecticut nursing home. So he stood outside her window and held up a sign that said "I've loved you 67 years and still do. Happy Anniversary." https://t.co/cIwZxwmZeN

Not sure who the funder of compensation would be but perhaps we can consider solutions like this that meet the range of public health and economic needs (2/2)

Out of an abundance of caution, STEM Prep will continue to be closed after Spring Break through Friday, 3/27. We will continue to evaluate this rapidly-changing situation in consultation with all appropriate parties. Please check FB for our letter to the community. @MetroSchools
