Think about this, under the powers proposed by this government you could technically be arrested for carrying milk. .@CharlesWalkerMP politicised milk as a symbol of protest🤔 I kid you not. And I agree with him that unless you cherish freedoms, you will lose them.

Bristol’s police aren’t just attacking protesters, they’re attacking journalists. If you’re still staying silent, you’re making a conscious choice to do nothing about the destruction of our hard won rights and freedoms.
Police assaulted me at the Bristol protest even though I told them I was from the press. I was respectfully observing what was happening and posed no threat to any of the officers. I have muted the latter part of the video to spare you all the pain of hearing my shrill voice.

So you agree, that if you are receiving abuse you should able to protest, oppose and speak out about the abuse you face. But with the bill you are putting forward won’t you be stopping people from speaking out about abuse they face.
The Prime Minister is right. Freedom to speak out in opposition to abuse is fundamental.
