As usual, less than 1/10 submitted talks will be accepted. Getting onto the #ndcoslo stage isn't easy! 😅.

I watched "Valhalla - Java's Epic Refactor" the other day. It's bonkers that they've been working on this for 10 years and still hasn't shipped anything. The cost of correcting old mistakes is insanely high. Especially under those back compat constraints.

Twitter seems to have become much more political (and much more right-leaning) the last year. The "for you" feed is unbearable, but even my "following" feed, which is predominantly progressive tech nerds, seems to be all about (U.S.) politics and less about tech these days 😔.

Donald Trump was shot. I don’t care what your political views are but the hate for Trump and his supporters has gone too far. People are terrified to admit they support Trump. I’ve been scared myself. Americans shouldn’t live in fear. I support Trump. Many at Sticker Mule

New laptop for programming:. MacBook Air 15" M3/16GB/512GB or MacBook Pro 14" M3 Pro/18GB/512GB? . Will be doing 80-90% of work docked, so battery time and screen size aren't crazy important. Currently leaning towards the Air 🤔.

Primary constructors, after all this time, ended up being a DOA feature for me. The fact that the feature falls over so quickly when you need multiple ctors and the added mental parsing overhead of having so many ways of doing things ends up not being worth it.
