Edit mode with @grok 4 kinda works in @code. For some reason the chat panel is not recognizing the code block edit text, but it's applying it properly to the code pane.

Good retrospective. Matches my experience. Seemingly innocuous system prompt changes or tweaks can sometimes cause significant undesirable variation in output. Investing in evals seems quite important.

It works in Ask mode. Agent mode is no-no for this combination at least.
