Requiring photo ID to vote when 1 in 4 don't have it will stop people from voting. But that's the point. Because this isn’t about stopping voter fraud - it’s about disenfranchising the young, the poor, and people of colour. People less likely to vote Tory.

Her name was Ma Kyal Sin or Angel. She was 19. She loved dancing & taekwondo. #Myanmar security forces killed her today. Before she died, she kicked open a water pipe so protesters could wash tear gas from their eyes & vowed, "We won't run". https://t.co/KKomk4K5ik

Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro is the best novel I've read all year (ok, and also the only one thus far, but it really is very beautiful). Out in March, pre-order here: https://t.co/QUzDGBytwD

Word of the day is 'sequaciousness' (17th century): the blinkered, unreasoning, and slavish following of another, no matter where it leads.

Definitely late to the #Bridgerton party, but it was exactly what we needed for the end of 2020 - Gossip Girl meets Much Ado About Nothing, yes please.
