Fantastic work, part of the @photoworks_uk weekender (and if you’re 5, really fun to try and follow the camera)

At this point people just need to be honest and say that Chris Kaba deserved to be s*ot in the head by the police because he was in gang. No if’s buts or maybes. He had what was coming to him, right? Live by the g*n, die by the g*n, yeah? Here’s the problem with this perspective:

The second in our new mini series on tech and sexual violence for @BeyondSlavery . In this hard-hitting piece, survivor Eunice-Esther Mejiadeu calls to stop treating online grooming as tech wizardry and to re-centre children’s unmet social needs.
No amount of surveillance will stop groomers from exploiting vulnerable lonely kids on the internet. From the perspective of someone who lived through it ⬇️ https://t.co/aeU9YrlVKK

Proud to launch this video and accompanying guide. Listening to children living in kinship care should be the starting point, not the afterthought. https://t.co/aa5ipSB81T

Heartbreaking. The family had visits from social workers, health visitors. Mother a lone parent had mental health problems, poor housing. Far too much expected of her. No family support. Her 4 boys died in house fire. So tragic. The state must do more.

Great to work w @MichiMathias and @InnovateProj colleagues on this resource re complexity and dynamics in #TransitionalSafeguarding systems change journeys, using the #ecocycles perspective. I hope organisations and networks will find it useful for planning and reflection.
Interested in #socialcare #innovation? Take a look at our latest practice resource from @InnovateProj, which offers an #ecocycles perspective on some of the dynamics which may emerge in complex whole systems change

Have you heard of the ‘care cycle’? Our new project aims to offer an alternative narrative & champion parents who have their own children after leaving care. Please get in touch if you would like to share your views #CareLeaversCan @Careexpconf
