Second homers flock back to Cornwall! We like to call them old friends as this week saw the return of Curlews, Red Shanks, Sandpipers and Black Headed Gulls from their spring nesting sites. @EnjoyFowey @Bosinver @BoteletCornwall @LoveFowey @LoveLostwithiel @Love_Looe

Swarms, swallows and hedgehogs all in a day. A swarm of bees in our garden; young swallows in our car port; and a hedgehog on our drive. Isn’t nature wonderful!

Covid Collies! Kayaking and social distancing is easy on the water but more challenging on land. Woody and Jake are now trained to strictly maintain the 2m rule at our Boatshed base. Those breaking the rules risk a serious licking! Daily tours now available. Join us if you can.

This wonderful Green Man now guards the space inside...it was carved from Limewood by our friend and neighbour, and ‘swapped’ for David’s help in taking down a holly tree..I have loved it for years, & so thrilled that it has come to live on the land..@artfromcornwall @LoveFowey

Managed to finish planting more snowdrops before the rain & wind! Slowly establishing a Snowdrop walk in the Little Wood, and putting a few clumps in the hedgerows so that guests can see them as they come up the drive... I get mine from @NaturescapeUK fab quality, & fast delivery

Turnstones,a rare sight on our trips, seen rock hopping in the harbour. Also seen? Kingfishers, herons, egrets, cormorants, shags, oyster catchers, curlews, sandpipers, little grebes and almost no human beings! Perfect winter paddling. @BTO_Cornwall @EnjoyFowey @CwallWildlife

Dark winter mornings mean that it’s easy to be up for the sunrise. Particularly when you’ve got two dogs with cabin fever. @EnjoyFowey @ILoveCornwallUK @NTSouthWest @LooeLove @cornwall4dogs

We have trips every day right the way through until the beginning of November, and after that by request... the winter can often be the best time to spot wildlife when the river is quieter... @FoweyInfo @GreenTourismUK @LooeLove @Bosinver @LoveLostwithiel @CwallWildlife

It’s summer and the supermarkets have these cheap (£8) polystyrene surfboards for sale again. Please do NOT buy them. They disintegrate into tiny pieces when they break up after being abandoned on the beaches & kill wildlife @Asda BADSDA 😡😡🌍☹️
