Columbia is lying: The Forward reported that trustees handed Mahmoud Khalil’s name to the government for unlawful deportation. Columbia also fails to mention that five new Jewish students locked themselves to another fence. They’ve been protesting for nearly ten hours straight.

A bill targeting undocumented people for deportations if they're merely accused—not convicted—of nonviolent crimes like shoplifting passed in the House with bipartisan support, and is advancing in the Senate where only eight Democrats have opposed it:

Despite Biden’s promise to protect old-growth forests, logging has continued steadily on Bureau of Land Management lands. “There is a massive disconnect between the administration and what’s happening on the ground,” one environmental lawyer said. https://t.co/WdiZn2iiFr

The power of the state under an authoritarian leader is what people should fear. That’s the actual threat. People are going to regret alienating themselves from others out of an emotionally reactive response to misinterpreted demographic election data.

There are many layers of government. IMO one of the best places to shore things up is in your own community. Get involved in your neighborhoods, schools, etc.; build + strengthen networks to get people what they need these next 4 years.

Lance Corporal Haidar is among 148 residents we have been desperately trying to help evacuate from Lebanon. One of my constituents was already killed in an Israeli airstrike. The @StateDept is leaving Americans behind and failing to protect their own citizens.

Thousands of Americans are seeking answers on how to evacuate Lebanon as Israel drops US-bombs. That includes a Purple Heart veteran with PTSD, his service dog, and his wife. While the US leans on commercial flights, other countries have organized airlifts. https://t.co/v4Upk1wjkt

We are witnessing the American response to the crimes in Gaza and Lebanon through every massacre. Every drop of blood is on the hands of this administration. There is no Israeli action carried out without American approval, or without American weapons.
