Learn from Singapore too. Can a woman, or two or a group, walk home late at night without being harrassed? They can in Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam.
India's reputation is sadly not conducive. Tourists worry about food, hygiene, safety. Women in particular worry about safety. Yes, India could do vastly better in terms of tourist numbers - but needs to fix these issues. Learn from other countries llike Thailand & Vietnam.

India’s biggest export earnings can come from Tourism which is totally free from Trumps tariffs. India, with its natural beauty, history, heritage, culture, and diversity, sees a mere 1.5% share in international tourist arrivals. There has been no concerted branding or marketing.
