Nice, now say the same about Paris, Rome or Amsterdam (all well known nostalgic economic backwaters)
Cities (especially capitals) with millions of residents are meant to be modernizing centers and money making machines. Turning them into nostalgia or anarchy actually makes you stagnate! For sentimentality, nostalgia and melancholy there are plenty of villages.

The neighborhoods demolished by Ceaușescu had no place in a modern city of the 21st century. If you want to live a village life do that outside of Bucharest, not in the middle of it.

@SerbanIoanDinu Wrong, favelification happens because of lack of planning after 1990. Paris is also ugly. Commie blocks are okay, they were built with the entire neighborhood in mind and became ugly only in the last 37 years to favor cheap ugly tight residences built by oligarchs for profit.
