What I see is an emotional reaction to getting beat by a former cheater and someone you view as beneath you, in part because of that moral lapse. He beat you! So you overreact, and there's no path back for you that saves your pride. Double down, etc.

I don’t believe that a talented, young chess player who cheated online (easy) as a MINOR now recruited one or more people to help him cheat OTB with an electronic device in his ear – or how else? For two years? One helper, multiples? With wanding etc.? Too many moving parts.

Finally won a game in round 3 at ALTO tourney. Hard not to get demoralized sometimes. I was on bottom board of WHOLE tourney! Since I won, no bye for me next round thankfully! Here to play, regardless.

Got 2.5/5 in Women’s World Open. Drew a 1900 in the last rd (I'm 1352). Missed a fork in Rd 2 (2000 rated player) to win a piece. I think the net results will be a few rating points. Main event, starting tonight! Next yr I'll be at WSOP!

Seems good for streamers to stream the event, but I would expect Lindores Abbey participants to be loyal to the organizer of the tourney they are playing in and not stream or have someone streaming under their account for the duration of the tournament.

Hans never said this. He said he’s deeply ashamed. The reason he pointed out they were random games is because if you cheat in a prize tournament and cause someone to not win prize money, you are also stealing from them. It is valid to make that distinction.
