Before working in games, I always felt like an outsider at work. People laugh at you when you take off time for a game release or to raid. No one gets your references or jokes. But at Riot, I was among my own kind. Even the bathroom music was game-themed. It wasn't just a job.

The freedom of Elden Ring in melee is unmatched. It did fall apart in ranged IMHO. Granted, GoW:R is way more cinematic and "feels" more epic, but it felt like each fight was on a stage and carefully set up vs organic. This isn't bad, just different approaches.

One day, I want my studio to be big enough to help everyone. It rings hollow to say, "I'm sorry, we're just getting started," when so many brilliant people are without jobs. We need to change the way this industry behaves.
After 20 Seasons of Apex and 5 years at Respawn nearly to the day, my job has been made redundant and I have been laid off.
Working on this game and supporting this community has truly been the honor of my career and a highlight of my life.
