Over-the-counter antiinflammatories such as ASA (Aspirin), ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin), and naproxen (Aleve) should be avoided in the third trimester of pregnancy due to risk of potentially life-threatening complications to the fetus.

Pharmacists across NL can prescribe an emergency supply of essential medicines due to loss from extenuating circumstances such as a natural disaster. Check with your local pharmacy team to see how they can help as our province deals with ongoing forest fires.

The SJRFD are closely monitoring a fire that has destroyed at least two structures in Quidi Vidi. The main concern at the moment is the fire climbing the hill and causing a forest fire. This fire will be closely monitored throughout the night. #nltraffic

Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Preferred Provider Networks undermine patient choice, safety, and risk a transition to American-style healthcare in Canada. I am proud of @CPhAAPhC and its work on behalf of pharmacists, patients, and the Canadian healthcare system. #CPhASummit

Pharmacy Benefit Managers in our country have impacted patient care and the practice of pharmacy for too long. Where and how patients choose to seek pharmaceutical care is between them and their pharmacist - not an insurer. Canadians do not want American-style healthcare

To patients and our trusted interdisciplinary colleagues, please consider taking the time to thank your pharmacy team for their care and expertise. While these teams do not do what they do for thanks and praise, a compliment can mean more than you know in a burdened system.
