𧡠We're excited to share our report on simulation of Post-Quantum (PQ) signature aggregation! https://t.co/NWE6CzXMd7 With support from an @ethereumfndn grant we investigated requirements needed to aggregate thousands of signatures within a four-seconds lean consensus slot
hackmd.io
We aim to gossip and aggregate num_signatures post-quantum signatures (each of size signature_size) across the network within a time limit max_time_seconds.

2 great reasons to support ref. 1689 will earn it back within ~8 months in terms of savings to ibp's endpoint nodes running storage costs and that it will make apps depending on historical data faster. billing data can now be viewed also via new dashboard
@kamil_abiy @qdrvm_io @Polkadot brief calculation shows 16% total treasury cost reduction (~$34k/month) for RPC endpoints with 50% disk savings. considering further disk growth this proposal succesfull delivered would be saving money for treasury within 8 months. full analysis: https://t.co/tC3mH1r7j2

* Faster DA and erasure coding * Single-honest collator parachains * Compact and fast archive storage * Efficient state sync * Deterministic integration tests These are the improvements that we are introducing to @polkadot . Consider supporting us by voting in the referendum!

We are publishing a new version of C++ @libp2p library. https://t.co/biYQTG6eAF It is written using modern C++ with features like coroutines and concepts. The code is now much simpler to use. The outstanding feature is C wrappers, so library could be also used to develop

Tests were conducted on a relatively low-end laptop, so performance could be even better. Eventually we could use this integration to develop more deterministic tests, which could execute scenarios faster than real time and be easily reproduced

Real time is slow.. We are playing with integration of @Polkadot node into the shadow simulation framework. So far for a single node we got: * The node's simulation time passes twice faster than the real time * Behavior is determenistic (i.e. block hashes are the same every time

Recording of my presentation during @libp2p day in Cannes is published I discussed how @Polkadot is optimizing gossip via Grid topology and how @ethereum lean consensus aggregation of post quantum signatures can potentially take advantage of it. https://t.co/ZhsglA7cS0

We have implemented a simulation of @ethereum BEAM chain PQ-signatures aggregation. In our work we analysed how going from light BLS aggregation to heavy aggregation using SNARKs would affect p2p layer of the protocol. Watch a recording of presentation by @kamil_abiy during

7/ After Graypapers release, parachains will begin migration to JAM - a significant undertaking that will likely consume a year or two

6/ Today Parity continues major upgrades to Polkadot-SD (claim queue, litep2p migration), while Graypapers 1.0 is targeted for Q3 2025

5/ Future plans: We'll support KAGOME as long as @paritytech supports Polkadot-SDK as relay chain client (at least 1-3 years) before upgrading to JAM

4/ Staking using @NovaWalletApp auto-selected validators? You're likely using KAGOME as we're currently #1 by APY. Higher returns for your $DOT! π

3/ Who's using KAGOME? 3/19 validators on Westend, 4+ on Kusama, and we're the only validators on Polkadot (for now). Numbers growing as we onboard more validators through W3F's Decentralized Nodes program https://t.co/49EWbbGbmd

2/ Is KAGOME even needed today? Absolutely. This week, Polkadot validators struggled with slow parablock execution and Kusama faced with stalled finality. More KAGOME validators would make the network more resilient to such issues πͺ
