A large share of the work went into validation: • Tens of thousands of Ethereum test cases • Differential testing vs reference implementations • Stress testing & benchmarking under load The goal: correctness and consistency from day one.

Ethereum tooling is live and usable today: • Foundry • Hardhat • Local test nodes via Anvil • Execution backed by pallet-revive (not a reference chain) This means developers test against the real environment.

Revive exposes Ethereum-compatible block data, enabling: • Existing infra • Indexers • Apps relying on block metadata & inclusion proofs …to work as expected from day one.

One of the hardest problems tackled: gas mapping. Ethereum gas is mapped to Polkadot’s weight-based fee system. Not identical, but internally consistent, predictable, and designed for Polkadot’s execution model. More details coming in a dedicated deep dive.

Revive now supports both EVM and PVM smart contracts, with full interoperability. Which means: • Deploy unmodified @solidity_lang contracts • Keep using familiar @ethereum tooling • Access Polkadot-native features alongside EVM execution
