Speaking as a therapist, there is no such thing as “Covid anxiety.” The mental health field is built on ableism and most therapists don’t understand that viruses can disable or kill someone. You’re not “crazy” for not wanting to get sick. It’s called self preservation.

crazy how every ICE agent today was complaining in 2020 about how they couldnt wear a mask because it was too uncomfortable

I’m going to need everyone who is rightfully outraged today to bring the same energy for every person who has been murdered and taken by ice. 2025 saw the most deaths (32) in ice custody since 2004. Ice began in 2003. These are just the deaths IN ICE CUSTODY that were REPORTED.

what happened today was horrifying and renee should be alive but let’s not forget that ice has *been* murdering people and keeping them in literal cages to get sick, freeze, and face many other abuses. citizen or not these are human fucking beings. i feel like im going crazy

So just to recap the 2025/26 influenza season. 1) We knew months in advance it would be bad. 2) We knew/know that basic airborne respiratory spread protection measures have profound impacts on influenza. 3) We did nothing. 4) Hospitals continue to struggle with load.

Interesting how most couldn't care less about covid now but are suddenly all concerned about the flu.

it never ever EVER had to fucking be like this. the collective denial of an ongoing airborne pandemic will have ramifications for decades to come. the kids, man. they have no one in their lives fighting for them, prioritizing their health, or doing right by them. fuck.

Please folks, do whatever you can to break chains of transmission, wear that mask, forgo that party, protect the soldier to your left, be the part of society you'd like society to be for you. Be good people, make good choices, CHOOSE to do the right thing.

and the thing about covid is, you're not the exception. covid doesn't care that you workout, wash your hands or eat your veggies. it doesn't care who you are, who you voted for, or what you did for the first few months of the pandemic. public health is dead. mask the fuck up.
