Story time. So a lot of people are counting on a great "come to your senses" event. I'm not as certain. I say this because in my personal life I see no evidence this is happening. Quite the opposite.

When H5N1 completes zoonosis, it will wreak havoc and once again cause millions of deaths and even higher numbers of disability. We will repeat exactly the same mistakes that we are with SARS2 & there will be exactly the same people telling you to infect yourself for immunity.

One of the criticisms of masking is that it only delays an infection. The thing is I don't think people understand the massive benefits of delaying infections. You can skip entire variants & make sure that you have the best possible matched vaccine if you do have a infection.

The absurdity of living in a world where you have a continuously circulating BSL3 pathogen & then actually having credentialed people argue against using the mitigation strategies that are required by law in BSL3 labs is like living a non-stop episode of The Twilight Zone.
