For Steve Barclay: 1. The NHS workforce plan is neither fully costed nor funded. Doesn't that make it more spin than substance? 2. What is the point of training additional staff without any meaningful effort to retain the staff you have, who are quitting the NHS in droves?

So yes we need more clinicians in the NHS but yet focus has also got to be retention and the maintenance of quality training Only then can patients be treated safely and well
