I have never been professionally interested in directing and I consider myself more of an animator, but storyboarder was the first job I ever did professionally. After a few years doing it in the Western world, I am now happily announcing my debut storyboard on One Piece 1/24

Got to do the rough animation for this funny scene from The Traffic, I wanted to make GB very expressive since the voice acting was great and asked for that level of exaggeration. The underwater scene is a reference to The Sunken Place from Get Out! #twwwog #gumball

In my experience, the eyes often carry more weight in facial animation than the mouth or cheeks. I try to give the eyes a little more attention so they feel right.
