Excited to share one our latest manuscripts out of my PhD research π¨π»βπ¬βοΈ from the @NitscheLab @ANUChemistry! Out now in @ChemEurJ.
Our 3-in-1 biocompatible synthesis of macrocyclic peptides is out now in @ChemEurJ. Thiazolines form in the backbone, metal-free oxidation yields very stable thiazole peptides, and hydrolysis leads to homodetic macrocyclic peptides. Well done @junming_he!

You know it's a great talk when Christoph @NitscheLab continues to discuss the science without the slides.
To round off this session, @NitscheLab gave a great talk about why cyclic peptides are so special (partially because they represent another tastier type of cyclic species π₯¨). The talk was so hot it even set off the fire alarm π₯π¨ #CIPPS2022
