I am very sad to hear that Paul Stephenson has passed. My thoughts & prayers are with his family. A British civil rights pioneer, his work exposing injustice was a critical catalyst for the country's first Race Relations Act. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy & we are.

Paul Stephenson was pivotal in rallying 1,000s for a 60-day bus boycott in Bristol in 1963 when the bus company refused to hire Black or Asian drivers. This powerful tribute on his legacy shows he inspired many "to fight for a more just & equitable world”.
