So valuable to step away from daily routines and think creatively with think tanks from around the world. For many orgs, political uncertainty is nothing new. Reinforces that humility is a continuous practice. Thank you to @onthinktanks team!

A session with @CeliaNalwadda, @marcelmballa, @ktrmurray discussed how to best reach & build trust with public as key think tank audience & pathway to inform policy. Themes: transparency, clarity, stories, listening, history. “Influencing” also raised in @gbuldioski keynote ⤵️.
Goran Buldioski: amidst all uncertainty, four certainties for #thinktanks: limits of what we can do on/exploit globe; multipolar world; further concentration of the ultra-rich; neuroscience & humans -- what can we do, to be influencers (rather than educators). #ottconference

A hit session on sharing and discussing unpopular opinions was such a valuable exercise. We could all do more to create such spaces. Thank you @davidwatson_m and @andreabaertl 👏.
A room full of thinktankers+ sharing their unpopular opinions. It’s not often that you get a room full of people laughing while disagreeing. Well done @onthinktanks for this excellent session expertly chaired by @davidwatson_m @andreabaertl at #OTTconference.

An illuminating session with @soniajalfin @QQMendizabal on AI & LLMs like ChatGPT covered daily implications for think tanks (reports as training data, staffing, prompt guides, policymaker use, etc) & big societal risks. 📢 "You won't be replaced by AI, but by someone using it.".

Funders must provide locally immersed researchers with the resources + autonomy they need. Without more inclusive, flexible support, we’ll keep missing opportunities to get relevant info to decision-makers willing to use it. From @JMARIARA & me in @ProSyn:.
