One of my fav @paulg-isms that I have adopted is asking people what they found surprising. Works great at work: "what did you find most surprising about this project?" Or fun: "what was the most surprising thing about that trip?" You get interesting insight/convos every time.

Competition is good. What isn't OK is when competitors like Neo slander Y Combinator by saying "YC does not offer personalized advice" as they did recently on stage at MIT. YC has 12 group partners including me: When we fund you you get 1:1 advice for the life of your startup.

One of the best things about being a @ycombinator company is that you get access to the YC internal software and tools. You get: - an investor database —> honest reviews for basically every investor/angel/fund you’d want to talk with, and some that you don’t - bookface —> YC’s

Consumer Fintech ARPUs range from around: $10 (P2P payments, BNPL) ...to $280 (neobanks) ...to $850 (crypto exchanges) Helpful numbers to keep in mind as a founder or investor to understand how many users you need to build a business!
