For me as thymus-enthusiast the most interesting finding was that women woth MG (mostly EOMG) had larger area of Hassall’s corpuscles, those small clusters of epithelial cells in the thymus that nobody really knows what their function is 🧐.

centers are common on EOMG thymi but could also show that the eGC number directly correlates with the patient’s outcome after thymectomy. eGCs were rare in patients over 45 yrs. Pathology of the thymus is thus clearly different in early and late onset diseases.
