Running validators for a Bitcoin middleware network wasn’t something I expected this year. But @Torram_xyz is pushing Bitcoin infra in a direction that finally includes builders. Excited to see where this goes!.

Decentralization is not a silver bullet. It resists censorship, but also resists coordination, moderation, and trust at scale. Without strong incentive design or fallback mechanisms, it can backfire - not by enabling censorship, but by failing to prevent abuse or misinformation.

We intended to use this as an upstream RPC endpoint for Curio so that we could store snapshots using PDP. The event got too busy, but was a huge hit when I showed up with my battery powered forest node lol. Specs below 👇.

My goal was to show the FIL Toronto meetup that ephemeral nodes can be both portable and fast to deploy. - On boot, downloads a snapshot from ChainSafe's snapshot endpoint.- Starts and syncs in 3-8 minutes on calibnet, 1h on mainnet!.- Logs sent to a public Grafana dashboard for.

Some people blame decentralization when things go wrong, but most systems that break under censorship were never truly decentralized. If your sequencer is centralized, your moderation is centralized, and your infra is centralized… then what exactly is decentralized?.
