Superman fans want the ability to say that he's an immigrant for brownie points but if you critique the handling of his immigrant identity or wish to explore the alien aspect of his character you'll always be met with backlash
I've already said it but most Superhero fans only want their favorite characters to be woke for brownie points and don't listen to real life minorities because they don't value their opinions, they just want to feel better about themselves for liking a movie

As much as I hate comic consumers, the problem is always the industry American superhero comic publishers choked out most other genres within the medium, and they refuse to allow the art form to evolve as they chase increasingly diminishing profits

@AsheMonsteMashe @inkblotPrincess I mean by that logic not knowing how the file system works isn't "illiteracy" because you can get away without it. I think the idea of "computer literacy" is flawed, but the command line is a very basic part of a computer and it's useful knowledge people should have.
