I adore the grind of getting new Deathblows, their only crime is that they don't have any attached properties that give them a unique flavor (More effective against specific enemy types/Status effects/More effective if you're low on health, basically what Xenoblade 2 does)
@StellaNoxEclair I wonder what you think about deatblows because when i played it, I really enjoyed the process of experimenting and obtaining them against random enemies but it felt like when u face bosses u just have to spam ur strongest one which took a lot of the fun out of it for me

Maybe 2 decades after this they could cook something really special Turn the deathblows into arts and give them attributes, make some really complicated elemental combos, just a few ideas off the top of my head I don't know

Xenogears's battle system definitely deserves more praise than it gets in my opinion Don't get me wrong the game is profoundly irritating at times (It's mostly some dungeon layouts) but there's some real sparks of something here
