@nextjs @rauchg The ONLY way to get this to work is to have the optional catch all in the root OR use middleware, which makes the DX terrible. I also don't want to use a middleware for this to work, all previous frameworks I've used have made this possible with routes.

So let me get this straight, it's not possible to have an optional route segment in @nextjs ? I want to have optional locale segment, not supported. Ok lets use optional catch-all segment... only works as the last segment. I kinda understand why people are frustrated. @rauchg

I wish @Apple had something like the @Tesla navigation software, where it suggests apps based on time, location and how often I open app on that location/time. I just love when I click on nav in my Tesla, it almost always suggests the correct destination.

Loving @vercel's new Observability tool. I noticed that one of my projects was causing over thousands of function invocations. I figured out that API reqs are not cached, just the data being fetched within them. This is something I wasn't aware of when migrating to Nextjs 15.

Ok @nextjs ... RSC layouts re-mount on slug change when they're not cached. Had to use 'use client' on the layout file to fix it. This is getting kinda messy, unsure if it's by design or a bug. @leeerob do you know by any chance? 😕
