Somebodies christening balloon 🎈 could be a Rip 🪦 for livestock! Not being a killjoy but please be careful with them folks , livestock especially cattle are extremely curious and it they swallowed the string or burst the balloon they can choke

https://t.co/HxI4MgV2kk Always knew indoor lambing would come back in vogue 😎! Seriously it just proves that there is very little new in Ag just the wheel turns slower or faster on different systems.

On a cold, wet July day, 200 single or triplet-bearing ewes were tucked up in the Dawkins family’s warm, dry lambing shed waiting on the impending arrival of their lambs.

Probably an unpopular opinion in this era of regen /tall grass grazing but I have noticed that the ryegrasses have stayed green longer and are still green in this dry period whereas any of the other grasses within the swarth have died off, maybe it’s not the grass but the roots!

I wonder if the same folk who are getting excited about another fast food joint opening are the ones recently disgruntled about a basket of groceries 🤔
Service station and energy company Corrib Oil is opening the country's first Wendy's fast food restaurant in Mahon Point Shopping Centre in Cork in October

Farmers are price takers not price makers. “The farmers buys at retail and sells at wholesale price” JFK. Also when was having a margin such a crime (the CCPC will be delighted to hear I have forgone my margin on most fields this year) @IrishTimes you need to do better

Ooh for it to be true …there was a small bounce but a needle (wind🌬️) 🪡 has burst it ! Agree not a drought……..Still v much in soil moisture deficit territory 🤷🏻♂️
Growth is above average for the majority of farms, as those that had been suffering from drought have well and truly rebounded. https://t.co/NKPt1OfWbh

What does this increasingly graw for scale mean for rural villages, employees, small independent machinery traders etc ?
After days out at PX Farms and Groundswell, all signs point to the big getting bigger at a faster rate. Are we on the cusp of a new farming aristocracy? This week's editorial: https://t.co/ydM4VqP76S
