German soccer referee Pascal Kaiser was assaulted by three men at his home, a week after his public marriage proposal. The day before the assault, he received threats, and his address was leaked. He contacted the police, who told him there was no immediate danger.

After 5+ years of hard work advocating for this legislation - I'm throwing in the towel. It has become apparent our legislators and governor do not really care about protecting sports officials. If others want to take up the mantle, I wish you well.
Please contact your state legislators & express your support for the bills intended to protect sports officials. House File 52 in the Public Safety Committee. Senate File 50 in the Judicial Committee. Both bills are the same, and they do two fundamentally important things. 🧵

Now try to justify this shooting…. The gun had been removed. The LEGALLY possessed gun. Wonder where the NRA is?
Clearer image shows that the firearm removed from the scuffle by an agent prior to the shooting in Minneapolis was almost definitely the victim’s Sig P320, meaning he was unarmed when shot by agents with Border Patrol and Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Having officiated HS sports in Iowa for 30 years now, I'm often asked who was the best athlete I ever saw in a game I worked. Many names come to mind, but Campbell is often at or near the top of that list.
