@StephenM Everyone treated in an emergency room gets a bill, legal or illegal. If it isn't paid, it gets sent for collection. If collection fails, it's uncompensated care and reimbursed. Nothing to do with legal or illegal status. Many "illegals" work, pay taxes, and pay their bills.
