I put this series of essays into the world 1 year ago and I'm still quite proud of them. https://t.co/d9x5swLAp9 The idea is that the foundation of a healthy society is healthy places. Places and their people can only be healthy when collaboratively managed over generations.

A framework for building resilient communities anchored in relationship and empowered by collaborative technology
Big announcement time: I am proud to share a series of six essays about how new collaborative ‘technologies of affection’ can help us build more relational and resilient home places together. Stop by: https://t.co/O67hOMhMIP

@deomaius we can scaremonger and overthink what the government will or won't allow, but at the end of the day, there is nothing wrong with privacy, and it's weird to think otherwise.

Private Zashi swaps let you go from any NEAR-supported asset, such as BTC, ETH, or a stablecoin, directly into shielded ZEC in one step. Welcome to the strongest privacy layer in the industry. Shield your crypto.

I love this… it’s the fuigo cent - first money authorized by the US government. Money ties us together in relationship but it should be private too. Mind your business. We are one.

“Be a cypherpunk. Enjoy privacy and freedom, as long as you’re not a bad actor.” idk I don’t think that’s how privacy and freedom work
If you like Zcash, you will love Arcium. I’d classify $ZEC as Privacy 1.0. The thesis is basically encrypted Bitcoin, a shielded store of value that no one can trace or seize. In times like these, I totally get why that resonates, especially with high-net-worth individuals.

Another reason why building in a dev fund or finding a way to build a culture of active maintenance actually provides better long-term security guarantees

Another reason why ossification doesn’t make sense for blockchains. They are social systems that require maintenance to stay healthy. See Elinor Ostrom’s work on governing commons
I'm years late in realizing that one of the greatest values of EIPs and "The Ethereum Process" is that it generates engagement. Just keeping up with EIPs is a full time job and half a hobby. So many concepts and legitimate basic research is discussed that one can be wholly within

@0xMert_ Here I am observing how tired everyone felt 2 days before the 2021 zcash top. And so I don't think zcash pumping is a sign to exit as @cobie once said, but a signal to find some belief. This may be our last chance to pull off a real cypherpunk money https://t.co/LdGPB1sbvk

And it is no wonder why @0xMert_ has become a wartime cheerleader for zcash. This is the exact view that has lead people to zcash as they fatigue in past cycles. If we collectively push now, we can win. This is for the sake of all crypto https://t.co/nkimwtGOok
I will never get people who spend 99% of their time and energy as a public therapy session for crying about how crypto sucks and will never work either help us build, advocate, or stfu like why are you here then? tf? it is embarassing to complain this much as a man trillions

People cite the many more coins around today compared with 2021 as a reason that we haven't been able to catch a bid, and generally that is true - but for zcash, this time, it can be an advantage because it's so easy to swap your unbelief into believe onchain. In fact

It just hit me why it is meaningful that zcash has garnered attention near past market tops and why this time can be different™ I was around for the 2018 and 2021 tops, I remember the lack of energy and malaise each of those times, and there are some similarities now. People

Are there any projects working to build a fully private uncensorable stablecoin? On @aztecnetwork or elsewhere?

@0xMert_ @VitalikButerin Also this. I think zec is a great asset to rally around to improve the world and I’ve been enjoying seeing that thus far
the older i get the more i just want crypto’s competing tribes to get along with each other (knowing full well that human nature places limitations on our ability to do that)

not because I dislike sol btw - the work @0xMert_ is doing is epic. But simply because ethereum is still the flagbearer for smart contracts and @VitalikButerin has been a long time fan… yet I haven’t seen eth people being as collaborative - despite their very public announcement
