Got my hands on some company goods! Every year, staff in the @SpringerNature Shanghai office can get a plush of the current Chinese zodiac - luckily I came in the year of the dragon 🐉 thanks to my friend Jialiang Cai for getting it for me!

Nice to finally meet the @NaturePortfolio editors in the Shanghai office who I’ve interacted a lot with over the last few years. They definitely have a nicer place than our London and Tokyo offices, I mean look at that view! Even better at night…

This is in contrast to many pieces that assume increased online exposure is linked with increased citations, something I once also wrote about in 2019:.

An interesting piece out in @Nature suggests that Twitter/X only boosts engagement but not citations.
