I’ve been living with a little pin on me. Or trying to. Thoughts so far on the Humane AI Pin, in what is call Phase One of my life with early AI wearables. But it’s a killer miss that this device doesn’t pair or interface with phones at all.
Tried this madness because everyone was talking about it here. I do not recommend using Vision Pro w/o light seal…but try it. Hold it up and look and perch on nose. Lenses were close to my eyelashes but the FOV expands and environment blends, and it feels like glasses.
Stadia launches streaming games in less than 5 seconds. Click on YouTube video/link, and you can play game instantly (!). Works across screens (desktop, laptop, TV, tablets, phones). “Not a box.”

What I’ve been up to for the past week: living in Apple Vision Pro. Wild, strange, amazing, sometimes unfinished. Thoughts on cinema, computer, memories, and more. Story below plus video. Tip

3D memories? Story below: Spatial video is in iOS 17.2 public beta today and I tried recording a clip and playing it back in Vision Pro. My second trip into Vision Pro-land was just as impressive: but spatial video has limits
I got to try Apple Vision Pro for a third time…this time with my own spatial movies I recorded over the last few weeks. I found that intimate moments worked best. Other observations below:
I got a demo of smart contact lens tech that put text in my eye and made me see in the dark. I was stunned. Mojo Lens wants to assist vision impairment and give everyday people AR powers...in a contact lens.

and I playing (poorly) the most high tech game of chess using Vision Pro’s new spatial personas. An elevated sense of social presence more seamless than uncanny.
Meta’s Ray-Bans are adding camera-connected generative AI to be aware of the world. I tried it: some thoughts on how it all works (and yeah it’s pretty wild)
Sometimes I’m in Vision Pro doing stuff on screens, sometimes I’m doing stuff on my phone via passthrough like writing this tweet. The beginning of The Blend.
FYI - you can use Vision Pro hand tracking in the dark. It has IR. It sometimes glitches when the hand is close to the sensors but the fact this works at all is amazing. Turn on travel mode for this
