There's a race in big tech to make an AI device that can take down the iPhone, but Apple doesn't need to worry. CNET's @BridgetCarey goes over why the next stage of AI products will still help the iPhone thrive.

No scrolling marathon till midnight, TikTok is now gone, cutting off 170+ million Americans cold turkey — with a call out to Trump.

The booth for Abbott’s health tech is really a metaphor for all of us at #CES2025 right now…

It’s a baaaaaby. TCL’s concept smart home companion for kids to play with is adorable and you can dress it up and take it out of the pod. If ai robots are taking over our home let’s make them cute. #TCLAime @TCLELECTRONICS

I don’t think this can ever be topped. Disney christened its new cruise ship, Disney Treasure, with a drone show. Who needs fireworks when a talking Madame Leota can just float over the skyline?

A monster iPhone update will soon come to life next week. Don't be frightened if Apple Intelligence seems... not quite whole. iOS 18.1 is a work in progress and here's what you can expect when Apple sets it free:

I went on a journey putting Apple's new AirPods Pro 2 Hearing Aids and health features to the test -- and you can take your own hearing test yourself next week with a software update. Apple has something really unique here. My video and report:

AirPods Pro 2 become hearing aids next week. After testing the software, it's clear Apple has something unique here.

We now have a Buzz Lightyear that comes to life on your desk for $600. It walks, talks, speaks Spanish and answers voice commands. (Still not a flying toy.) My first look here at how wild it is. I had some fun with this video. Can they make a Wall-E next?

I've been playing with Robosen's new voice-controlled, programmable Buzz Lightyear robot, and the details are impeccable.

There’s always Apple stuff for Prime sale events, but I did a double take on AirPods Pro 2 - which costs less than the new AirPods 4 with ANC. The Pros 2 will be the superior must-have model this year. When the hearing health software lands, Pros become hearing aids 👀

Scams change with the times — and scammers love online shopping rushes like Amazon’s Prime sales when we may be more susceptible to curiosities in the mail. You don’t click links in strange emails from people you don’t know, and QR codes are the same!
Federal officials are now warning Americans about “brushing scams,” in which scammers put “a QR code on something that looks legit,” like in a package or on a parking meter, @CNET’s @BridgetCarey says. Carey shares tips on how to spot suspicious QR codes.

The iPhone 16 camera control is great for opening the camera… and that’s about it. In this week’s episode I may push a few buttons, but I don’t think Apple got this right.

We’re all glowing here. Ready for the iPhone 16 launch at 5th Avenue.

The flagship 5th Ave Apple Store is ready for the iPhone 16 launch tomorrow. Very colorful but no line or even barricades set up in front. There are, however, two Cybertrucks that are wrapped in some vodka brand that may be looking to capitalize on usual media attention.
