Finally got around to reading _A Reading from the Book of Panic_ and wishing I had sooner, so I could be rereading it now.

I'm grateful to Justin for writing this thoughtful review of my forthcoming collection, The Vinegar in Our Hearts. The review does a great job of laying out the different sections of the book.
Please check out a review of The Vinegar in Our Hearts by @jessemdelong forthcoming from Cornerstone Press.

Let us enjoy the great victory Lit Twitter's own JCO has brought us today in relative peace now. On this, we are a unified front.
What has she ever done? Has she ever made the Hyperloop? You did. Has she ever invented self-driving cars? You did that. Has she ever taken humanity to Mars? That is an accomplishment you have pulled off, that she never will.

Zohran Mamdani saying in his victory speech “While you campaign in poetry, you govern in prose. If that must be true, let the prose we write still rhyme” and the crowd letting out a muted, slightly baffled cheer is so funny. It spoke to me, at least.

I don't like the Carson poem, but it's obviously better than the AI poem. Carson's poem takes risks (and probably fails). The AI poem does what, unfortunately, a lot of poems do nowadays--just imitates moves they've seen in other poems. Comparing them is pretty insulting.
If we don’t call out the bad published poems we’re aiding the devolution of poetry. Who wrote it better:

Our HOA, which last week sent us a letter saying they’re out of money so no longer cutting grass in the common areas, had the nerve to send us a letter and say we needed to cut our grass 😂

Readers have long been frustrated by Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken". Thanks to AI, it is now possible to explore BOTH of the paths described by the speaker

Is this a moth with a bug eating it, or a moth with a tail to mimic a bug?

My first book is out of print, and that is probably a good thing. There are, however, a few poems in it I still kind of like. This one about a peculiar kind of fishing is one of them.
