One of our biggest problems today is that our political class — including most leading lights of the Left, like Chris Hayes here — knows next to nothing about the real economy or how government has shaped it in the past or could shape it in the future. The post-WWII prosperity
My Grand Unified Theory of American discontent is that the post WWII period in America was highly highly anomalous in a ton of ways that generations of Americans have seen as "normal" - and view our departure from as a fall.

This is who we are now.
OMG. The circumstances of this arrest are even worse than the brief summary. Mr. Molina, who was here legally, says he DID tell immigration officials that he had papers — and in response a federal agent said "No you don't. You are illegal" and "Shut up, bitch! You're illegal."

Trump's illegal mass murder of a boatful of people may not even have attacked a drug cartel. He may have killed a boatload of migrants instead.
After Trump killed 11 people on a boat, with zero legal justification and zero evidence offered that they were members of a cartel, Democrats have of course fully denounced this outrageous abuse of pow... oh wait no they're being silent so they're not "soft on cartels."

Extracting what they can on behalf of billionaires while starving kids of resources. These are Ohio’s “leaders”.
A reminder that @matthuffman1's gift of $600,000,000 taxpayer dollars to billionaire Jimmy Haslam could cover our District's deficit for 11 years. Our students could have what they need, but our legislature chose the Haslams new Florida condo instead.

We’re so back 🇵🇸⚽️ #crew96
🇵🇸🟡 The deal is done: The Columbus Crew have signed Palestine int'l forward Wessam Abou Ali from Egyptian giants Al Ahly, per sources. Crew will pay a transfer fee of $7.5m, plus another $1m in add-ons, I'm told. Al Ahly will hold a 10% sell-on clause https://t.co/Q6bbv763RG

The only thing @fccincinnati loves more than taking an early 2-0 lead over #Crew96 is collapsing immediately thereafter. #HellIsReal 🫡 🔥

Aside from the obvious moral abomination of these raids, think about how much money and resources we are wasting on this bullshit. Your tax dollars sending armed gestapo agents with helicopters to kidnap farm workers, the hardest working people in the country. Insanity.
“A CBP helicopter.. they’re landing in the middle of the farm.. is does appear that they were not planning to be here as long they have… so this helicopter made a run.. for some cases of water”

México is building a new national rail network on dedicated lines from coast to coast and border to border. Meanwhile in Ohio, we can’t even get a rusty Amtrak to sit and wait for freight trains on the 250 miles of flat fields between our 3 big cities. 😔

The Mexican government has announced plans to commence construction of the Mexico-Querétaro and Mexico-Pachuca passenger rail lines in April 2025.

Really glad the "opposition party" spent the past week racistly smearing and slandering the one politician in this country offering an alternative vision. Great work 👍
