Like, you aren't on a production schedule that you don't control, you have the time to go non-digital, because you make the rules. Make the time. Because watercolor (it's probably gouache) and dip pens don't exist is not why it's all digital. Like, for real.

Honestly looking at it small makes me want to go darker for the shadows than I even did, but IRL it is so freaky putting down anything dark on her skin. Though I'm never using bristol for alcohol markers again. The paper sucks the ink out of the nibs faster than gravity refills.

More Alennah for #VampiresinBikinisMonth . It was so nervewracking working on this one. Adding shadows to her skin freaked me out in person, but honestly it looks pretty good after scanning and shrinking it. And I even stopped to take a picture before I added the blood because

Thinking I might try to do the whole trifecta of fall daily art challenges for the first time this year and chain Sketchtember, Inktober, Huevember. It'll be the same 30 drawings, just the sketches, the inks, then the colors.

My colors were too pure, especially for the subject. I was expecting the underpainting to do more. So some yellow ochre glaze and green to desaturate the violet. #workinprogress #paintingprocess
