We shouldn’t punish kids for being kids. If they sit in desks too long, don’t be surprised if they get fidgety or talkative. Yes, there’s a time & place for quiet learning. But we need more time & places for kids to play, move, socialize & be kids. That's how they naturally learn

A low ATAR does not mean poor performance at university. "we need to broaden access to university beyond the narrow confines of the ATAR, and allow education to play the role it should always play, as an equalising force in an unequal world." https://t.co/19JyGDfHK9

Potentially unpopular opinion: if you can’t teach the whole curriculum without homework, your curriculum is the problem. Kids aren’t“quiet quitting” by expecting to only do work @ school. After 7-8 hrs of work, they should expect to protect their peace & find joy when they leave

Students are constantly feeling rushed. Before they’re able to master a skill or concept, they get assessed and are told to move on. It leads to high anxiety and a low sense of self worth. We need to worry less about “staying on pace” and care more about depth of understanding.
