I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, I think we need to expand gender roles so that feminine men don't need to "identify as" women to express themselves. On the other, why is he the leader? And did he deprive a female of a spot? Men have long been a part of cheer.

I find that most liberals no longer believe in free speech. They'll bring up issues such as "misinformation" and "disinformation", assert the need to protect the public from these supposed evils, but have no answer when you ask them who gets to decide what counts as 100% true.
What we really need in the UK is an organised liberal resistance to denials of free speech that is specifically about free speech & not any specific issue that people want (and should be able) to speak freely about. 1/.

I'm going to call it Outsider Shame. Shame is an emotion we feel whenever we are excluded from our social group, so if you feel yourself to be a misfit or an outcast in your own sex class, you are suffering from Outsider Shame.
I agree that "gender dysphoria" is an invalid diagnosis, but what do we call it when a boy is so unlike the other boys around him in terms of his interests, sensibility & behavior that he feels like an outsider to his own sex, esp. if he has been bullied for his difference?.

To be clear for those who have misread my post, I'm not asking what we call the boy. Most comments have responded as if I did. I'm asking whether there is a better term for HIS DISTRESS than gender dysphoria.
@jburgo55 I was a very feminine little boy who was bullied for being perceived as being feminine, for preferring artistic pursuits, for wanting to read rather than play sports constantly & preferred to associated with girls than boys. We call children like I was โa boy.โ. If a boy is.
