My quick thoughts on Chadwell hire:
1. those saying it’s a downgrade. LU has P5 resources that no SBC has. LU paying P5 $. LU 7-3 vs SBC.
2. LU didn’t overpay for HCJC. USF and LU were going to pay P5 money to get him to move to a non p5 job.

Liberty is going into its 4th season as an FBS program and in year three produced a 3rd round NFL QB with 1st rd athletic ability. I’m proud of where this program is heading. Amazing.

Shout out to the fan base of the Liberty Flames. Think about this. The 4th largest crowd at Williams Stadium came against LA Tech (3-6) for a CUSA game. The other three were all P5 games. We are growing rapidly. I would not be surprised if the CUSA conference title game is 25K +

ODU the last several games: beats app st, barely loses to JMU, Barely loses to Coastal, gets beat by Liberty, goes out and beats Georgia Southern. Their own fans "Liberty is the best team we have played in the state of VA." Everyone else, ODU isnt any good.

We saw reporting on Freeze possibly heading to Auburn right before our game last week. Feel bad for the players hearing these reports right before their game.
Here’s the latest on Coastal Carolina. Liberty making a strong push for Jamey Chadwell and is willing to offer nearly $4 million annually. Coastal Carolina officials have been bracing for Chadwell’s potential departure. One top name to replace Chadwell is NC State OC Tim Beck.

My quick thoughts on Chadwell:
I like this hire if it happens. Looking at list of top winning G5 programs from 2019-present, Coastal is 4th on the list at 36-12 (Liberty was 9th with BYU at 35-15). Has done a masterful job with less money and arguably less talent.

UAB fans were very complementary to Liberty's fans as being respectful yet passionate. One team manager said she was shocked at how passionate our students were while maintaining respect for UAB players. I Can’t give this same compliment to most Wake fans I’ve encountered.

I saw a stat that last year only 40% of the players in the portal got picked up by another team. Let that sink in. Some players might never get another chance if they enter the portal. Better be 100% sure because there is a possibility that you don’t get a call.

LU is going to be just fine in CUSA. You will see recruiting pick up due to the opportunities of being in an FBS conference and having more bowl alliances. Is it perfect? No. Do I wish we had more P5 games scheduled? Yea. Can we build something special w/ regional G5 rivals? Yes.

Liberty arena is averaging 73% capacity. Great numbers. Fans of another school in VA is comparing their numbers to LU and averaging higher attendance at 3500,(LU 2943) but forgot about the fact that it's only 44.1% full capacity. One looks better on game day than the other.

What Liberty is able to do going after a top G5 coach is exactly what I wrote about in an article prior to the season. It is the reason I see LU having sustained success going forward. The resources and investment into athletics is huge.

some twitter accounts say, Liberty has a cupcake schedule. we do have an easier schedule this yr. Then I check teams like Fresno State. They didn't lose the tough games, they lost games they shouldn't. Liberty has taken care of business every wk. Another example- AirForce.🤷♂️
