This is a good thread that helps sharpen, not blunt, critiques of US sanctions.
This is great reporting & I agree w/ that the US over uses sanctions & yet these numbers are misleading. Saying "1/3 of all nations on Earth" face sanctions, or "60% of all poor countries" are under sanctions implies the US is targeting more gov'ts than it really is. Here's why.
