Exactly. People tried to get crowns while the village didn't have the basics in place. Twitter Threatre in lust of fame! I've been shocked that it involved some of the very reputable academics!
The recent hype around privacy led to a turf war among “programmable privacy” projects (some of the ZK ones just hopping on the privacy bandwagon in the last couple of weeks). The market is still tiny — yet people are already fighting over breadcrumbs.

As "godfather of ZK" was unnecessary. We would have taken the notes seriously, otherwise as well. The crypto industry has a culture of entering into self-bubbles and godfather culture, which is sometimes understandable given less competition (compared to very, very sharp
Privacy: Who needs it and who doesn't? As "godfather of ZK" (as some people referred to me) I've spent a lot of time thinking, reading, learning, arguing about privacy on blockchain. Here's what I think about who needs it and who doesn't. Who *doesn't* need it? If:

So true @EliBenSasson
What’s my main job as CEO? Listen to the team and help us all converge on ONE THING that’s important. Then, it’s about reminding everyone of this ONE THING, and saying NO to everything that’s not advancing it. ONE THING for Starknet, now? Expand Bitcoin’s GDP.

Institutions are moving onto Ethereum, and one of their biggest blockers is privacy. IPTF, the Institutional Privacy Task Force, was created to to support this move and address privacy blockers. First public event for IPTF was at @DeComputeConf in Singapore. (Links in reply)

Looking forward to sharing our recent developments around private agents.
As AI agents start collaborating autonomously, privacy becomes a first-class security concern. @jaysprakash, Co-Founder of @silencelabs_sl, will speak at DSS on how MPC, ZKPs, and programmable consent enable secure, accountable, and privacy-preserving agentic workflows.

We loved being part of DeCompute 2025 strong signal across MPC, verifiable inference, and privacy. Our team ( @oskarth ) shared some of what we’re working on at Institutional Privacy Task Force (@iptf_updates / @ethereumfndn ) to make institutional privacy real on public
Glad to host @sandyzkp (@Scroll_ZKP ), @kostascrypto (@Mysten_Labs ), @oskarth ( @ethereumfndn ), Lane Rettig (@NEARFoundation) at @DeComputeConf. We discussed: 📷 - Nuances and spectrum of transaction privacy, - Process of standardization, - Evolution of business opportunity for

Programmable Financial Privacy will empower true institutional unlock of all that has been brewing up in crypto. @silencelabs_sl has been solving puzzles therein for the past years. Action time. @balajis, we are cooking right here in SG.
.@balajis on Zcash: “We’ve got the zero to one moment for zero knowledge already, and now we’re going to go to the one to infinity moment where financial privacy is just a human right.”

As it unfolded: We were glad to have @sreeramkannan at @DeComputeConf. Sreeram shared a very promising roadmap and use cases built around verifiable agents- the need of the hour. EigenAI, EigenCompute, and EigenDA create a looked-after stack for verifiable inference.
Drop by @DeComputeConf 2025 on 30th September in Singapore to listen and engage in discussions with renowned experts in digital assets security, privacy, and economics. Glad to have @sreeramkannan from @eigenlayer as the spotlight speaker. Sreeram will talk about Verifiable

Glad to have you at @DeComputeConf. Wonderful conversations covering Agentic Security and Privacy. Thanks for moderating @bluzuli . Lovely flow of thoughts by @anuragarjun, @ethermage from @virtuals_io, @francescoswiss from @consensys.
AI agents won’t go mainstream until they’re secure by design. Earlier today, @anuragarjun joined Decompute 2025 for the Agentic Security panel. On stage with @ethermage from @Virtuals_io, @francescoswiss from @consensys, and Leonard Tan from @Consensys. They unpacked how to
